Welcome Once More To Our Website
Hello, our dear families and friends! Whoa, can you imagine that? We've been here in Singapore for almost four and a half years. And thus far, these years were the most trying times for all of us. Yup, you got to believe this. Nevertheless, these were also the greatest times where God revealed His awesome love, mercy, and power above all circumstances and people. Do hang out in our website and "read all about it!".
We're The Kids In America!
Last June 2005, amidst saddening circumstances, the Yaneza family proceeded with their planned holiday in the American East Coast. (Better to go on rather than forfeit the money). But this holiday turned out to be another adventure, and almost a misadventure. Thanks to the inspiration we got from The Amazing Race, it was indeed amazing how we managed our timing in getting around the wonderful sights of New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C., and even Connecticut.
This trip will long be remembered for the discovery of Uncle Ben's World Famous Barbeque Steak and Chicken. Hey, the patent's mine!

Highlights Of The Family (2004-2005)
Since the theatrical release of the movies, Spider-Man and Attack Of The Clones, in May 2002, we have not had much activity with our website. But there were a lot of things happening both exciting and saddening as the recent years became one of the trying times as they say. But it was also very amusing in terms of entertainment: In June 2002, began my lonely journey when I was without a job. It was something we expected to happen, but was not able to find a solution, until almost 2 years later. Che's brother, Mike, and Rose, his girlfriend of more than 6 years, tied the knot in December 2002 in what could be the record-breaking wedding preparation in the new century. How does 4 days look? In March 2003 came the scare of SARS especially for us who are in Singapore. Then the war in Iraq began, and all my hopes to get a job got dimmer. But thanks to American Idol. It was absolutely horrendous to stay outside of home.

... and then there was FUN :)
One morning in May while taking my usual afternoon stroll while the kids are in school, I stumbled upon a nice apartment building. And wonderfully enough, a unit was up for lease. It was totally unfurnished but I did managed to make a home out of it. The fun part was furnishing it. In September, a dream came true when the four of us spend a short but memorable visit to Disneyland, Universal Studios, and San Francisco (where we almost left our hearts). And we had a great time together with my relatives, the Ylagan family. Having a family in another place is as comforting as it can get. But December 2003 was yet the happiest time for all of us. It's Christmas and we're home for the holidays to be with our families and friends. Alas! The year ended with a bang indeed. And the road to 2004 began. Just a few weeks in January, came a new De Mesa baby, Maria Avarielle or Ava. Ysa and Gio's first cousin from Uncle Mike and Tita Rose. How cute that little girl is : )

From top left clockwise: the ever-cheerful yet stressed Che; the serious, mysterious and hilarious (according to Ysa & Gio) Gary; Miss (Piggy) Saigon Ysa; and your noisy neighbour, the amazing Gagam-Gio-Boy
